I'm not going to bother saving because I was convinced the end was coming, right?

I was obviously wrong.

But it's interesting how this perception that something is coming, Trump's going to announce something.

something's going to come in 2027.

The Antichrist is coming, according to Peter Thiel.

All of these things create a context where there's not much time left.

And also a context where everything's going to be revealed anyway.

So I've got less time, and all of these things are just going to happen.

So you become very passive.

You stop investigating.

You're waiting.

According to this guy on X, he says, you know,

Trump's going to make his announcement in the next few days or whatever.

And so it sort of creates this environment where everyone's always anticipating something coming and it changes the way you behave.

And the best analogy I like to use is if I tell you dinner is going to be ready in 10 minutes, the odds of you going to the fridge drops dramatically.

Whereas if I tell you, like, dinner is going to be four hours, I'm like, I'm going to go eat now because I'm really hungry.

These time constraints do affect us massively.

And also in a grander, larger geopolitical sense, they absolutely short circuit our ability to make sensible long term decisions.

And I think we're seeing that in general.

There's this urgency, this sense that things aren't going to last very long, that economically, the disaster's looming, war is looming.
