And it provides a degree of latitude that allows things, in fact, I would say it allows things that Apple doesn't anticipate, like the flowering of AI models and agents on Apple's Mac platform.

It allows all that to happen without Apple needing to be involved at all because Apple didn't have to be.
It didn't have to approve anything or disapprove of anything.
And like and is it likely that the governments of the world are going to do some sort of digital freedom like that to allow our devices to have that level of uh freedom if we want them to?
I don't know, probably not.
The the you know, that's the pessimistic part, but my optimism is there's a simple answer here, which is make it so that if you make a computing device, people can put software on it if they want, and that the idea of a monopoly control of the platform and all the software on it is just not allowed.
That is basically what we have to do.

Like, yeah, the and and look, I think what we're really saying here is at some point companies realized that the real way to make money was to control all the horizontal and the vertical, right?
And part of that, look, I will I will admit part of that is they decided that they that consumers wanted things to be cheaper.
And so they're like, all right, okay, we'll be we'll make them a little cheaper, but we're gonna, you know, we're we're gonna sell you the printer real cheap, but we're gonna sell you the toner.
And that that that uh blade razor blade model has been applied to technology to the point where like every single freaking thing is a part of the gestalt of the company.
And it's like a company like Apple that's the size of Apple uh can point at something like putting m ads in maps.
