I think that the legal case that they're making is very interesting because what they're basically saying is what is a trade secret?
I don't see any.
Which is funny because what I don't think it does is deny anything about that there may be a whole plan inside OpenAI to get people out of Apple with everything they know and with documents, which is the difference between you
Like people people leave taking documents out of their employer is not the same as people taking their knowledge out of their employer.
And I'm a big fan of the idea that if you're a worker and you want to go somewhere else, you should be able to.
But uh that's sort of what Apple is alleging is it's more than that.
It's actually this kind of conspiracy to get all sorts of documents, technical documents outside.
And what open AI's lawyers' response is, which I think is actually really smart, is
show us the trade secret that was violated here.
Show it to us.
Uh, which is not saying that they didn't have this whole strategy.
It's just saying where where is the illegality here?
And it's a v I don't think it's necessarily going to win a lot of hearts if they say, look
The stuff we stole we were allowed to steal, but legally
If that's the case, there's no case here.
Well yeah, there there there is an also argument.
It's not it's not so much with Tang Tan, it's so with that other guy who left.
Um yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But but um but yeah, that one of the arguments is like, look, Apple's cloud document practices were bad.
