At a time when golfers are trending younger, when we see guys half his age contending for major championships now at 45, for him to be doing what he's doing is really impressive.
I think we always have to watch out for Scotty Scheffler.
That said...
Yeah, look, he's starting to trend in the right direction.
He came into the Masters with three straight finishes outside the top ten, which that's okay for any other mere mortal in the game of golf, but for Scottie Scheffler, that's way below his standard.
Didn't get a chance to play at Houston two weeks before due to the arrival of his second child, and then came out a little cold and looked a little rusty in the first couple of rounds, 70-74.
Then, as you mentioned,
Didn't make a bogey the entire weekend.
Played some terrific golf.
He's going right down the road to play the RBC Heritage this week.
And I think for Scottie, it's all systems go now.
I will say, though, he's just seemed a little frustrated.
He's seemed a little on edge over the last couple of months.
We'll see if that continues.
Look, you win more and you're less frustrated.
And you don't win, you become more frustrated.
It's a chicken or the egg kind of thing.
That said...
I expect that Scottie will start playing some better golf and we'll see a Scottie in a better mood off the golf course pretty soon.
Yeah, I think you can make a case for Faldo.
