For the leader of the golf tournament to take that line as opposed to going back left and trying to just run out of there with a par is fairly shocking.
But look, that's what it takes to win major championships.
Rory, I thought, was very gutsy in that moment.
He talked all week about being unburdened, about playing with some freedom after winning the Masters last year.
I wonder if that's a shot that Rory would have hit if he hadn't had a green jacket waiting for him already back in the clubhouse.

13 U.S.
Open, but looking for that elusive Masters and just so classy talking about it, not only over the past year, but even this week.

It was a really sloppy bogey on 12.
Quite frankly, it was a sloppy par, if that makes sense, on 13.
He had a great second shot into the par 5, got a little too aggressive with his eagle putt, didn't make the comebacker for birdie, and was sort of out of it at that point.
That said, great stuff from Justin Rose.
I'm in awe of what he's been able to do over the last five years.
