I grew up in a middle class, upper middle class family. You know, my grandfather was, it was interesting, my dad's side.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, no. No, my mom's side was, you know. No big deal. No, but my mom's side was they're all academics, Ivy League, like oral. He was an oral surgeon. But my dad's side was all like small business grinders.
And then my parents were, they're both smart. They're such hard workers, but like relatively conservative with like their career decisions. Okay. And always got moved up the ladder, but more conservative with their career decisions. So my brother and I are the polar opposite. We're so out there.
He owns a big marketing firm in New York City that only works with Broadway shows, and I'm doing a lot of entrepreneurial stuff. So it's interesting what you do.
When I told them I was going on The Bachelorette, they're like, no, you're not.
It was 2018.
It's not like it just came out. Yeah.
We're not those people. Yeah. Reality TV. What do you do? No. She always said like, this is my thing. Okay. This show is my thing. And then like, finally she came around to it and I went on. Did she? She told all her friends, she's like, it's all right. He's going to get kicked out early. And then all of a sudden she gets called to go on hometowns and she's like, oh, Oh, my God.
What am I going to do here? Oh, my God. That's so fun. But, yeah, everyone in my circle was like, why would you ever do reality TV? Yeah, same. Same with mine. Ever.
Do you think your career has taken off since reality TV, or do you think it's digressed?
Just do it. I think that's a good take.
Has it paid off?
Yeah? That was a breakdown right there.
