I was sitting there, I was looking at this guy, I was just thinking, his face rings a bell.

I think this guy is Albice Pérez.

which is a Spanish far-right member of the European Parliament, even though he doesn't like to call himself that because he presents himself as anti-establishment.

And we got confirmation that this was indeed this person as soon as we left the boat.

And we saw a group of like 50 people from Ceuta

bearing the spanish flag and and all of these spanish symbols and just rushing and surrounding this guy and the people he was with all the security people he was with very passionately shouting at him you're not welcome here we are spanish we are muslim we are proud of our country we are proud of our borders and we are the ones who are going to be defending them you are not going to tell us

And you are for sure not going to come here and gain political points for yourself.

Most of the people that I talk to, they straight up blame Morocco.

They see this as a strategy from the kingdom and the regime to exert pressure on the Spanish borders.

There's no official account of this being true.

But what is true is that Spain has always had to manage the relations with Algeria and Morocco very, very carefully.

Because when Spain gets closer to Algeria,

be it for gas deals or any sort of deals.

This angers Morocco that has it very easily to respond like this and exert pressure.

And this theory seems credible because it's not just an isolated event.

In 2021, Morocco actually opened the border and allowed around 10,000 people to cross into Ceuta as well.

I think it was a bit of a test of how much this strategy of using migrants would work.

And Pedro Sánchez was in Algiers less than two weeks ago, had a meeting over there.

So this could be an explanation.
