They wanted the U.S.

Constitution.

And as soon as they get into power, they blow up the federal deficit.

So the debate that's going on in Republican party now is to blow it up by, you know, three or 4 trillion or five or 6 trillion.

I'm making up those numbers, but that's the debate.

That's not a debate we should be having.

To put additional debt on our children in order to give additional tax cuts to billionaires is what they're doing.

And to me, that is morally reprehensible.

Look, there are times you got to run a deficit, times it makes sense to do that, times of war, times when you need stimulus.

But this is not a moment just to finance their friends' giant tax cuts, particularly with the huge economic inequality that we have today.

so that debate is an unfortunate one now the other debate is how fast to go in reverse on clean energy you know last week we're sweltering under the heats and you know half the country we have a climate change disaster that is causing forest fires we have a solution to this problem which is clean energy and and now this reconciliation bill is going to cancel the tax cuts that are growing these businesses and giving americans

cheaper energy so we're you know before this congress showed up we were getting cheaper energy in solar and wind which is cheaper in 90 percent than coal across the country right now we were reducing our carbon emissions that can reduce forest fires and hurricanes and now they're gonna they're gonna destroy that the question is do they destroy it 100 or only 95 that's the debate we're having so those are debates on the margins of

how much damage to do.

And that's not a healthy debate.

So again, I can't wait till we get a House of Representatives who can stop this madness.

Well, they're voting against their citizens' interests.

Maybe not against their interests because they can continue to take millions of dollars of benefit from the fossil fuel industry that likes the status quo.

The oil guys don't want to compete.

The coal guys don't want to compete against solar and wind because solar and wind is cheaper.

But yes, something like 70%, 80% of these projects that are being built happen to be in red districts.
