Hugo Gonzalez was getting chances.

And like you said, he has all the defensive tools you'd want.
He's super long wingspan.
He's six, seven, six, eight, whatever he is.
It's just, he's grown up and he's matured and he's realized like you need to be super in tune with the details.
If you're going to guard the best players in the NBA and,
on a nightly basis and he's done that like the discipline that he's shown defensively has been super high he's getting deflections he's getting steals he's racking up blocks and offensively it's just like he's trusting his game and his shot is falling i don't know if it will continue to fall the way it has from outside but everything out he's crashing the glass he's getting put backs
He's finishing in transition.
He's been able to get a few garbage buckets per game just by working and being in the right spots.
And so if he can do that stuff with the defense that he's shown, and he's also rebounding at a high level on both ends, which is super important to this team because they can get crushed on the defensive glass.
It's just been...
I mean, he's totally changed the trajectory of his career over the last month.
It's not just the last month where he's done that.
It's been the work over the last few years.
But he went from looking like a guy who might never get a chance because the other young guys had passed him to, oh, wow.
Austin Reeves just said he's going to be one of the best defensive players in the league for a long time.
Yeah.
He's not the greatest defender.
