Eastbound and Down is a hit.
That song was written for this movie by Jerry Reed, and it was one of the biggest hits of his career, and it was a big hit, just period, regardless of the movie.
Within the movie, though, most of the music that Reed either performs or writes, including Eastbound and Down, I think falters a little bit because it's a little too literal.
Like even Eastbound and Down, the first half of the movie, when they are heading west to Texas, the song lyrics change to Westbound and Down.
Yeah, I can't decide what I want more.
to fix the lyrics so that they never say westbound and down or leave it eastbound and down and not make sense to the direction that they're traveling.
I guess they chose the first option and not the second.
But anyway, it's a really fun movie.
It holds up to this day.
So I would say if you haven't seen Smokey and the Bandit, give it a shot.
It's fun.
