This should really be the first time where you see the vision starting to come to life.
Well, yeah, and there was a lot of mixed opinions about the Bowen Byram trade, and I think whatever you think of it, did he pay him too much?
Was the term of the trade too expensive?
Regardless of that, what that indicated to me and to most people was, this is Kyle Davidson saying it's time to take the next step.
He's not interested in the fourth overall pick again.
He wants to get a guy who's 25 years old, who's been an important part of good teams, who's already won a Stanley Cup,
on this team, on the roster, in the lineup, day one.
Now, that trade happened before Conor Bernard got hurt, so it does change things a little bit.
But the Byron trade, more than anything, tells me, and should tell Hawks fans, like Kyle Davidson's tired of this too, and he recognizes, I can only stack draft picks for so long.
At some point, I've got to move this thing forward, and the Bowen-Byron move is really the first step in moving this thing forward.
And look, it remains to be seen whether or not he's done this summer.
Like the smoker on the Patrick Kane thing, which I'm sure we'll get to,
is very, very thick, right?
It seems like every day it becomes more and more starting to feel like it might be headed that way.
So he's ready.

I think he's not the kind of guy who's going to look for a Band-Aid, and I think that probably bothers some people, like,
Get someone to play with Kane.

He's way more measured than that.
