But the Insurrection Act really can only be invoked in those circumstances.
Truly, a foreign invasion, an insurrection, those are basically the circumstances or something that is truly a national emergency.
So he legally can't invoke the Insurrection Act.
I know, again, he woke up this morning with a new idea, you know, or yesterday morning.
So he's saying it.
Meanwhile, we have to rely upon the courts.
to protect us from a president just saying things and then doing it, even though it's unconstitutionally illegal.
How would it look different?
Well, to be honest with you, it would look different in the sense that today in court, the federal lawyers are saying that the reason they want to bring in National Guard is to protect the facilities of ICE and the ICE agents.
