You know, the basic advice that I gave was that the Georgia election looked suspicious.
There were things like signature verification not being followed.
For that reason,
I gave constitutional advice to the president that under the electors clause in Article 2, the legislatures of the states are given a direct power to decide who their electors should be.
There's a Supreme Court case called McPherson.
You know, that's quite old at this point, but it's foundational that says that all that the state legislatures have plenary power, like complete power over who the electors are.
So given all of the strangeness and irregularities and I think outright violations of law.
That happened, especially in Fulton County, that the Georgia legislature could call itself in a special session.
They didn't need to wait for Governor Kemp to use his powers as a state governor to call them into special session because the electors clause doesn't involve the governor.
It's a direct power conferral from Georgia.
the people of the United States in the Constitution to state legislatures.
So no one's laid a glove on that constitutional analysis, Vince, but what they came after me for, it's truly laughable, is they said that my letter was an attempt to lie.
Because I wrote in the draft letter, which never issued, in which I never leaked to the press, my enemies are the ones who leaked it to the press, that said that the Justice Department has serious concerns about the validity of the election in Georgia in 2020.
So two of my superiors who are my only two superiors at that point, they they disagreed with me.
They didn't think there was anything wrong with the election or so they said.
In reality, I don't think they really did any investigations of any value at all.
because they just wanted it all to go away.
But they said they disagreed.
And so well, lawyers disagree, you know, newsflash, lawyers disagree with each other.
You don't know how many times in my career, I've been a voice of one, and then you roll along long enough.
