What Robert Hurd did in recommending that Biden not be prosecuted is not binding on the current acting attorney general, Todd Blanch.

And President Trump's really the one who we've discussed many times, Steve, actually wields all of the prosecutorial powers of the United States at the Justice Department.
He is, but I think he's a Republican that Merrick Garland knew would play ball and knew would give this kind of the limited hangout, once-over treatment.
And I also think, you know, maybe I'm being too conspiratorial, but I'll take one little inch out step further and say it had the whole feel of a kabuki dance.
So when her came out and said that Biden was, you know, a kindly old man with a poor memory, and so therefore he probably wouldn't be convicted in D.C., and no indication that they really thought about
bring charges against him anywhere else.
