A downward variance.
And the variance was because of all the good work I had done in AA.
Well, I was probably looking at like 21 months.
So I got a three-month sentence.
you know, downward.
That was great.
And I didn't even know what any of that stuff meant back then.
You know, I was like, I w I was out of it.
So, um, I, I reported to prison in 2006.
And at that point I was almost four years sober.
And really found out that, you know, most guys, when they go to prison, they're like drinking and drugging right up to the door.
And I was like, at this point, a sober guy.
And I had been through the steps and I had been like, you know, I had already started my transformation.
And I was going to be in prison, you know, roughly a year, a little bit more.
And I was able to turn it into this kind of transformative experience.
And it was fascinating.
It was absolutely fascinating.
I mean, I wasn't in a camp.
So I was in a low security prison with controlled movements and bars on the windows and everything.
But I had met people there that I never would have had an opportunity to meet.
