Like a lot of their response when they call or text me was it's it's cool to see someone who always knew what they wanted to do.

And it's cool to see that work out.

So those people I do appreciate because they saw all the things I did.

And then it gets further.

Right.

All the sacrifices that we made.

do have to make, all the friends we probably lost along the way, all the events that we didn't get to go to, whether it was close cousins' weddings, whether it's family birthday parties or big celebrations.

There's a lot of sacrifice that goes into it for everybody in our profession.

I'm just very fortunate and blessed and somewhat lucky that it worked.

Because for most people, it

It probably doesn't.

And I can look you in the eye and tell you that I'm very grateful for that.

Yeah, that was always my thing, is it didn't matter if I was smarter or more talented or had a leg up on someone in any other way.

I just, I was never going to let anyone outwork me.

I mean, I remember when I was at the University of Albany, probably 23, there was a coach who I think is an outstanding coach and is still coaching, you know, at a smaller level, but...

If I ever woke up and he had beat me in the office, it would completely ruin my day.

So it got to the point where if he was up at 445, I was up at 430.

The next day he'd be at 430, I'd be at 415.

And then I think at one point I was waking up at like 330, and I think I almost went down one spring practice because I just wasn't sleeping enough, but he wasn't going to beat me in the office.

And that was kind of, you want to talk about a little obsessive?
