Maybe I'll have a chance to be a college head coach if things work out at Ohio State.

Sure.

There was, but more on the offensive side.

And I was on the defensive side.

And I think it was the offensive guys that usually get kind of picked off like that.

And there was something about going to Ohio State and trying to be a college head coach that was really intriguing.

So we talked about it.

And that was a hard decision to leave, like you said, to leave Kyle and leave the Niners and go back to college football.

Yeah, I think that all played into it.

I just there was part of me that missed college football at that time.

Part of me missed the relationships with the younger players.

Part of me missed wanting to help change young people's lives and pour into them.

And that's really what led us to go back to Ohio State, because at that time there was no NFL, there was no NIL, there was no transfer

That was like pure college football as it used to be.

That's what it was.

It was, can I help a freshman incoming recruit as a freshman, take him through his senior year, just become so entrenched in his life that...

you know, I had guys come to my wedding that I coached in college.

Can I be a part of that kid's life in the future?

I did miss that part.

All those college coaches that affected me that I was with for four years that I still talk to, I miss that piece of it where in the NFL, I was leaving jobs like every two years and starting somewhere else.
