This wasn't like, this is your only interview.

This is your only opportunity.

I'm just going to take the job.

That wasn't it at all.

I mean, I chose out of the six that wanted to fly me in to meet with me, I chose this one to go first for a reason.

Because usually the first one is going to be the one you're most interested in.

Because if it works, you're not going to leave the building and say, oh, no, I'm just going to go look around.

So there's a lot of reasons I took this.

I believed in ownership when I talked to them.

I believed in Sully and I wanted to pair up with somebody that I was aligned with.

That was really important to me because you mentioned when I was in some situations that weren't great in this league and I saw it all firsthand and I watched it very closely.

I'm very observant.

And then when I got to San Francisco and I saw Kyle and John Lynch and how connected they were, which was way different than anywhere that I've ever been.

And I saw it and I saw it building and I saw the alignment.

I saw they work together.

I said to myself, if I ever have a chance to get one of these jobs, that's how I want it to be like.

And that's what I saw with John Eric.

And that's what John Eric and I talked about for the past two years.

So if we're to work out where we both get a chance to start together, I just think that's a very rare opportunity.

And I don't think that exists a lot in this league.
