So they have the Orioles this weekend, and Carter Griffin's the best available option in the organization to help.
Yeah, I mean, it makes a lot of sense for them to get something done with Connor Griffin.
He's a great player who's a sure bet and is talented and has all the off-field traits you would want.
He can play baseball well, as we've established.
Connor Griffin, we're seeing these deals sort of come together around opening day, past opening day.
You know, that we're young kids with a lot of talent, projectability, make a lot of money.
And teams like it because they have that same sort of predictability contract-wise.
So, again, the long, complicated way of saying that this makes sense for both sides.
I don't see how him being up here would prohibit that or take those backward.
You know, I'm not going to say that, you know, the deal is ultimately going to get done.
I was on your show yesterday talking about the same thing, Pop.
I look at it like this.
You have two sides that really like each other.
You have an outcome that makes sense for both of them.
And now you have an even cleaner runway to get there.
So I'm thinking we need to worry about the baseball stuff, but it's not going to hurt contract-wise.
I don't know if they want to put that much on him that soon, Pomp.
I mean, maybe eventually.
