And there's entire generations of kids who are watching the Nuggets basketball, have no clue, no idea what it meant.

And that Nuggets team got to remember until when he was fired, there was only two major sports franchises in Denver, the Broncos and the Nuggets.

And,

That's all we had.

So literally your biggest icons were the two, the basketball team and the football team.

And Doug Moe was such a huge part of that.

It's disrespectful to say a huge part.

He was just all encompassing.

And I'm sad today.

Doug Moe was such a big part of my formative years as a Nuggets fan.

And hearing him, hearing him on interviews and just enjoying him as the personality and innovator he was.

And it sucks.

I mean, I've known this has been coming for a while.

He's been in poor health in San Antonio where he lived.

And I hope he gets some good honorariums from the Nuggets after this because he really deserves it.

This Nuggets franchise would not be where it is right now if it wasn't for him.
