And guys, I just want to take it back to the Maple Leafs for a quick second and point out a couple things that have kind of gotten my attention.
I wonder what a William Nylander or an Austin Matthews... Do you guys think that they're not sitting there looking at Mitch the first year after he decided to pack his bags and go and think...
I don't know, maybe it's worth it to explore something else.
Wouldn't you think it would be human nature to kind of look into that?
And just to touch on the decors that you guys just brought up, whether it be Vegas's, Montreal's, or Carolina's.
Like, if you guys are hinting at Toronto needs to kind of understand that and build their decor out, which they completely do, and I'm talking complete overhaul, the point about that is that takes years.
Like, I talked to Kevin Adams about his decor that he put together in Buffalo.
It was like he had to start there.
And if you don't have that, you can't even look at, like, the star centermen or...
or adding that winger.
And you look at that decor in Buffalo, too.
Pretty damn good.
And then at the trade deadline, you could compliment and add a 6'4 Stanley or a Luke Shen or a depth guy to compliment the pieces that you already have.
But it takes years.
You can't do it in one offseason.
Just my couple thoughts on what you guys have just said.
I think you also have to acknowledge, Hayes, that they wanted him, too.
