Then I came here for a junior camp after the Mem Cup, and pretty much like I told you earlier, I saw this place and I said, okay, the goal is to make the NHL and never leave this spot and get a place here in the summer.
Luckily enough, I've been fortunate enough to do that.
I mean, currently, I don't know.
I'd probably have to tip my hat to the Muskokas.
They got the McDavids and Taveras and those boys.
But I'll tell you, back in the day when I kind of first started getting going here, I don't think I would have made our NHL team here in Kelowna.

Then we had, like, Getzey was out here, Hartnell.

Like, it was unbelievable.

These skates, I mean, walking into it, it was like an all-star game, and I was almost wondering if, you know, I felt more comfortable playing in NHL games than I did in the summer skates around here.
Yeah, I mean, obviously I kind of, I saw the side of Buffalo when I first entered the NHL and I think they made playoffs maybe my first or second year.
And then there was obviously a huge drought after that.
You'd show up to Buffalo on the road and,
there'd just be no one in the building.
