Yeah, as I tweeted out, I think it's a good hire for the Canucks. matched

Now, he was on the ice at development camp earlier this month, so got a little trial run there. matched

But they are, as an organization, all about bringing in good people. matched

And whether that's on the roster, behind the bench, in development, this continues that trend. matched

We know that Alex Edler is a good person. matched

What kind of coach is he going to be? matched

And I wonder if it is a stepping stone to a larger coaching career because when Alex Edler retired and they brought him back and had his night at Rogers Arena, we had a chance to talk to him and asked him about a future in coaching. matched

And at that point, he wasn't sure. matched

Another one of these guys with a young family, wanted to spend time with the family. matched

But as the years go by and, you know, you don't want to get too far removed from the game, I do wonder if this is with an eye matched

to the future for him, sort of dip his toe in the coaching world, if you will, and see if it's something that he wants to pursue. matched

And so if you're the Canucks or you're a Canuck fan thinking the whole Jake DeBrusk thing could go down – matched

A guy like Vladimir Tarasenko is out there as a free agent. matched

Why would a team make a trade and pay costs when you could get a proven goal scorer? matched

Patrick Kane, although it sounds like he's limited to just Chicago and Buffalo. matched
