All your picks are great ones, but we can't let the week go by without commemorating Bill Mazeroski.
So I have possibly the best card we've ever given away, at least in the top handful.
I have a 1960 Tops Bill Mazeroski.
So this is a card people have searched out for years.
Obviously, the year had significance, but this one is particularly nice.
And it's for sad reasons we have to give it away, but it is part of the business.
People commemorate their memories, and we're going to honor Maz this week with Starkey's Card of the Week.
Yeah, a prototypical baseball card from that generation.
Face shot, plastic helmet on, typical baseball card like the
Remember the Street Smith photos were always the same.
Same thing with the baseball cards back then.
Hardly any action shots.
Tight shot of Maz's face.
And obviously from the right ear.
Iconic.
People still collect the 1960 tops.
You know what's funny is when you think from 60 back to 25, it seemed like there was so much jubilation when the Pirates won.
It was Pittsburgh's team.
And you think about that was, what, a 35-year span?
And this span has been longer.
