That's what it exists for.

You know, the market can blame the Fed for raising, oh, stocks went down.
Damn Fed, why did they raise rates?
I mean it's the illusion of control.
One and a quarter.

No, there's there's technical reasons for this too.
I mean we don't want to get into the econometrics here.
They have something called R star, which is how they evaluate where interest rates should be and it's there's a whole big argument there.
What I'm asking
The pressure they get from first of all the staff, the look the Federal Reserve does take a look at the economy.
They have all these sophisticated econometric models that tell them they should do this if this set of circumstances arises.
And that set of circumstances, a bunch of these boxes checked.
So whoever was going to be Fed chairman was going to say, I have to raise rates because the staff is telling me I have to raise rates.
