This is what you deprive the country of when you have such a hardline, racist, white supremacist stance on immigration.

But this is also showing why sports is uniquely positioned to have these conversations, is that you can now have that conversation with Americans who might think otherwise.

And, you know, after they're rooting for Team USA, they want to say, oh, no, no, but we can't let anybody in here.

Okay, well, if you don't,

then you're going to miss out on what immigrants and what citizens, or not necessarily immigrants, I mean, he was born in the United States, but you're going to miss out on what people like him can contribute to this country because you're so caught up in who gets to be called an American and who doesn't.

And we know generally when you talk about who doesn't, we know who you're referring to because if this is always, if this is about this shutting down this

industry of people coming here purposely having babies on US soil so that they can be American citizens.

there's quite a cottage industry of Russians who do this as well and other nations who do this, but they seem to want to pinpoint people from certain nations who do it.

They're not Black.

They're not Black, so then really what this is about, it's not about who gets to be an American.

It's about the fact that you only want certain people to be an American.

Okay, well, you're going to lose out on sports, culture, all these things that all of these people can contribute.

So...

I'm hoping that the Americans who will be cheering for Team USA can draw that connective tissue.

Yeah, they don't want politics and sports until the president can call FIFA and maybe in some ways use his influence to get them to change a decision that was wrong.

I mean, to be fair, is that, you know, I think the way FIFA chose to correct it was sloppy.

But the fact is, it did need to be correct.

And Falarn did not deserve the red card.
