Investigators from the FBI and Ohio BCI noted that despite the staged forced entry, two spent shell casings at the foot of the bed pointed directly to an inside job.

By February 19th, the spotlight turned into a mugshot as Flynn was hit with murder, felonious assault and evidence tampering charges.

The irony is deafening.

During his season 12 Idol audition, Flynn compared Ashley's beauty to Carrie Underwood.

He advanced to Hollywood, but did not make the finals.

Now Caleb remains in Miami County Jail.

As the case unfolds, the motive remains a mystery.
