And I mean, there's just hands down, couldn't be more loving.
But before that, I had been on a lot of sets that were not like that.
That weren't necessarily terrible, but had complications where when you're spending 18, 19, 20 hours a day somewhere, you're like, man, we get to do the coolest thing in the world.
We should be able to really enjoy doing the coolest thing in the world.
And you don't always have...
the infrastructure to support that, you know?
And so when I'm in the director's seat, I feel like I have a lot more to contribute to that side of things, you know, in terms of the decisions that get made, you know, if I'm directing the pilot, being able to be a part of choosing the department heads, being a part of choosing the cast, being a part of vetting that process and trying to have an environment that feels like this is us when you go to work, you know?
So doing an episode of television feels a little bit more like being an actor, actually.
Because your job is to assess what the show is visually, technically, tonally, energetically, and figure out how to do the very best version of that.
And not fight it.
Like in your voice.
Well, not in your voice.
But like whatever you're bringing to the table.
Yeah, you want to do your best work in that world, right?
