I, of course, was risking retinal damage sitting there with my normal sunglasses on, gazing

retinas and it's no fun having damage done to your retinas.

But in case my optician and ophthalmologist are listening, I was very careful.

I looked briefly for seconds.

But, you know, it was lovely.

It was just this kind of really weird moment where it felt like somebody turned down the dimmer switch on the lights.

It wasn't as dramatic as I maybe thought it was going to be.

But there was this kind of this nice feeling of us all standing together and or some people in the sea, some people just sitting on the beach and experience this kind of collective moment of

awe at something beyond our understanding and beyond our experience and that we're probably not going to see again in our lifetimes.

Or maybe we will.

Actually, I will.

It's only like, yeah, we

was like that.

And everybody had the eclipse glasses and the ham sandwiches.

And I heard two women saying to each other, no, that was nice.

Will I pour some tea?

That's really nice.

Lovely.

So and then afterwards I had a swim and then I went to my yoga class and I went home and slept

within minutes?
