We know a lot about how to run a business, but we didn't know a lot about franchising.

We knew that we could do it, but we knew that we would be making mistakes.

So we wanted to hire a person that would just help us make less mistakes.

So when we were looking for the right consultant, we were looking for a person who really cared about diversity.

Because we really think about that a lot as a business.

I have a very diverse staff.

And it was one of the things that was just really important to us as a company, is important as a brand, to make sure that we are empowering all different types of individuals.

So when we were out looking for a consultant, we were wondering how can we find somebody that really aligns with that value that we have as a brand?

And we did a lot of Google searching and we looked at IFA's website of suppliers and we found

Stan because he had won the diversity uh award for I don't know which year, but one of the years.

And so we said, Oh, he does consulting, he won the award of the diversity institute.

Let's just give him a call and see if he'll talk to us.

I called him and he said, Nope, I only deal with bigger people.

And then we had the most lovely conversation that I think lasted maybe two hours.

And by the end of it, I think I had convinced him that he could help.

And I think he said, I'll help you just a little bit and then we're gonna part ways.

But Stan helped us for about a year and it was incredible and we're really just indebted to all of the stuff that you taught us.

What we do at Brooklyn Robot Foundry is we teach robot building classes for kids, starting at age two and then going all the way up through adult.

Basically, the intent of our classes is to empower kids to be creative, empower kids that it's okay to fail and that it can be super duper fun to build things.

So we design these very open-ended robot projects.
