And last fall, Roger arranged for Lewis and Clark College in Portland to purchase his entire collection for what amounts to a small fortune.
He promptly retired from construction at the age of 54.
Most of Roger's days are now spent in the library of Lewis and Clark College, where Doug Erickson is the chief archivist.
