ass weird throw to nowhere in the middle of the infield yesterday.
And I'm like, that did not look anything like a major league player.
And then last night in the Yankee game, you know, this was something that helped out the Yankees, but I mean, or could have helped out the Yankees, but the first baseman for the A's was spectacular, but you got this Max Muncy at third base for the A's.
He can't throw the ball over to first base without it being off the bag or down in the dirt or everything else.
So, I mean, it's just been, I feel like there's been more bad
bad defense to start this season that I remember in previous years.
And I know that was a major talking point for David Stearns going into this season was the run prevention.
And, you know, David Stearns, as you're talking about loving Benj and liking Benj, I don't think anybody likes Benj more than David Stearns.
So we're going to have to see what he ends up doing.
Does he continue to give him opportunities or does he see a guy that's overwhelmed?
And don't forget that you play at first base with Mark Vientos, unable to make a play from an errant throw.
That's another one.
So, yeah, you have a lot of these little things that are happening, and I swear to God, this run prevention thing is going to come up back and bite David Stearns right in the ass because that's exactly what Met fans are going to be talking about, especially at first base, given what went on there.
It's interesting.
The bottom of the Yankee lineup has been horrendous offensively.
Yeah.
And defense is important.
You know that.
You know how I feel about defense, and it's great.
But you can't have three guys that are below the Mendoza line.
