This research is a little bit old, but I thought it would probably like really drive home why when you're investing for the long term, we want to get out of our own way and stay the course.

So this is from Russell Investments, and it looked at if you were invested for a 10-year period up to 2020.
Okay.
So if you'd invested a period of, you know, $100,000 over that time, so this is in the S&P.
500 index.
So in the US, if you had been invested that whole 10 year period, so you didn't have wobbles or moments where you were like, oh, I just want to sell out and I'll wait on the sidelines and then I'll go back in.
By the end of that 10 year period, that $100,000 would have turned into $272,000.
$272,000.
Yeah.
More than double.
Yeah.
Nearly triple.
Yeah, exactly.
