For years, I could never understand that he would always use the same sleeping pad that was just like a cheap El Cheapo sleeping pad that he got from a big box store that was rated to like way warmer than it should be.
And it's because he would sleep with his winter jacket, his sweater, his everything, his sweatpants.
He just layered up and then went into his sleeping bag.
Right.
Saved himself a bunch of weight.
He didn't because all that weight just goes into the clothes that he wouldn't have to bring if he had a nice sleeping bag.
He brings those clothes anyways.
He brings them in case... Well, now, of course.
Well, yeah, because he's... Well, he brings them when they're cold.
And I know of other people, more so mountaineers, but some mountaineers who will be like, I bring a sleeping pad and then I just bring my, like, warmest puffy jacket and some snow pants, insulated snow pants, and huddle myself up against...
Put on all my clothes.
I'm cozying up with just my clothes.
I would never do this, but it is controversial.
Leave the sleeping bag at home.
Sleep in your winter puffy jacket.
No, I think all of mine suffered with extreme terribleness because these are.
