So first of all, I do agree with the fuel.

There is a chance that you might find an abandoned fuel canister or you could mooch one.

I've been able to mooch one off of somebody coming down the trail.

They didn't eat it.

I think if you ask the average backpacker,

hey, I forgot my fuel canister.

Can I use yours?

I don't think I know a single backpacker in the back country who would say no.

I think they'd all say yes.

So I think that's actually, that part's good.

The food, I don't think I've ever seen like any food that you'd want to eat left behind in a bear locker.
