But it's part of the House Democrats' plans to really examine and take a closer look at what's happening in the industry.
And it'll be interesting to hear on Friday morning when their earnings come out what Jamie Dimon has to say about going forward.
We'll also hear from Goldman, Bank of America, Citigroup, and Morgan Stanley.
And something that's interesting when you're looking at that financial group in general, the financial sector and the S&P 500, their earnings estimates have continued to come down since December.
And financials along with energy, which has also come down, they've really been the ones that have pressured investors.
the estimates for the overall S&P 500 recently.
Because if you're looking at analysts polling for the first quarter, they're expecting a roughly 4.3% decline in profits for the overall S&P 500, which would be the first contraction since 2016.
So it's interesting that looking at financials, that is one of those groups that's been weighing on it.
And it'll be interesting just to see overall how their outlook for the Fed in the course of economic health, what that really means going forward.

And looking at the S&P 500, it's off to its best start to a year since 1987 through Monday.
So we've had quite the run up.
So it seems as if things are setting up to where it could be potentially a strong April with investors really looking ahead to first quarter earnings season.
Yes.
So there tends to be, looking over historical data, certain trends that happen.
And November through April, over the course of history, technical analysts have noticed that investors tend to hold more cyclical-focused stocks.
So that just means sectors that are more tied to the health of the economy.
So looking at energy, industrials, financials.
And I had some data pool just to look at that.
And those also is what really has helped April's gains in going back through 1990, looking at energy, financials.
