And then the boys kind of hassled him and said,
bro like why are you sad about daddy you know and he said from from what happened to me I was grade two when it happened and you don't know what it feels like to be grade two which is year three in New Zealand you don't know what it feels like to be my age and that happening and so that must have been what the past you know the chaplain maybe had told I don't know anyway so I text her said thank you for looking after my baby this morning
And she said, oh, love, what an honor.
Sorry, I did give him a chappy hot chocolate.
He loved him.
I said, he told me, I said, haha, he told me.
And he said, you prayed with him.
What a blessing you are.
And she wrote back, I did.
He's the best.
Honestly, what an incredible young man you have.
So sweet.
And I just thought, how lovely.
lovely third child actually was like hassling him for crying about it and crying at school and so I sat with him next to him at dinner and I wouldn't have picked that I said that was really that's not really nice that he did that like he's like I wouldn't cry though I'm like well you're not him and we all process things differently like we me and you have a lot of time together to discuss stuff like and you're a different personality to him and you shouldn't
just because he's feeling that way you can't like make him feel like that's not valid so then you're trying to parent the fact that every child's different and you know there's so much to um there's so much to it sorry to cut you off there's just that's really every personality is different right so every personality is different but also there's just like pressure on boys and men not to cry and it's fucking annoying they that's the thing i said remember daddy cried
And dad actually said to Rico who was lying there, Rico, it's okay to cry.
I remember that so clearly.
Like, you're allowed to cry, darling.
And it's like they've now put on this front that's all fine.
So they've pushed it away, which I'm so stoked that Tay is actually like.
