While the poll finds more than half of voters support the president's handling of the border, 55% of those surveyed do not approve of his handling of immigration, a seven-point change since April.

Nearly 6 in 10 voters now think ICE has been too aggressive.

Among those who think ICE is too aggressive, 44% say they're using too much force, 23% say they're targeting the wrong people, and just under 30% said both.

Republican candidate for governor Ken McPheeter says he believes Senator Tommy Tuberville spends most of his time at a beach home in Florida's Panhandle and not at his home in Auburn, Alabama.

He says the Auburn house is Tuberville's sons and that travel records show the senator goes to Florida often.

A spokeswoman for Tuberville called the claims a ridiculous PR stunt from a desperate candidate

and said the same narrative didn't work six years ago when Tuberville ran for Senate.

Tuberville was the head football coach at Auburn University for a decade, ending in 2008.

While the Associated Press says he was registered to vote in Florida in 2018, he registered in Alabama in 2019 before he ran for Senate.
