Former President Bill Clinton sent a letter to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer accusing him of dismissing subpoenas to those he considers friends, writing that two law firms have done an analysis finding the subpoenas for the former president are invalid.
Comer responded outside of what would have been a deposition hearing room.
He noted the files revealed Clinton had flown on Epstein's plane, for example, at least 27 times.
Congressman Tim Burchett said they will bring up contempt of Congress proceedings against Clinton.
Former Auburn University football coach Tommy Tuberville ran for the Senate in 2020 and won, but rather than run for a second term, he's opting instead to run for governor.
He officially filed the paperwork Monday and said from the state GOP headquarters.
He said business recruitment and creating better jobs will be a top priority.
A former congressional candidate, Ken McPheeters, is so far the only other announced Republican running.
There are a few Democrats running, including former Senator Doug Jones, who lost to Tuberville in 2020.
