Staff attorneys went to the home of 88-year-old billionaire Les Wexner to take his deposition in New Albany, Ohio.
Fox News Digital obtained his opening statement in which Wexner said he's pleased to testify to set the record straight that he's been the subject of outrageous and untrue statements, but also that his heart goes out to the survivors of Epstein's crimes.
Now, as far as his relationship with Epstein, Wexner said he didn't socialize with him, but hired Epstein and gave him power of attorney over financial matters as Wexner's retail empire grew.
However, as Epstein's legal troubles grew in 2007, Wexner and his wife found Epstein had been stealing from them and they cut ties nearly 20 years ago.
Wexner said Epstein was a con man and he regrets ever having met him.

House Oversight Committee attorneys will depose 88-year-old billionaire Les Wexner, the former CEO of L Brands, which owned Victoria's Secret, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Bath & Monty Works.
He's mentioned frequently in the Epstein files released by the Justice Department.
At one point, Wexner apparently trusted Jeffrey Epstein so much he gave him control over his personal finances.
Though attorneys for Wexner say Epstein ended up stealing from Wexner, and they say Wexner cut ties with Epstein in 2008.
Oversight Committee staff are expected to conduct the deposition at Wexner's home in New Albany, Ohio.
The Oversight Committee chairman has said video and a transcript of the deposition will be released to the public.

In a statement, the Pentagon says, at the direction of South Com Commander General Francis Donovan, the Joint Task Force Southern Sphere conducted three strikes on three vessels operated by designated terrorist organizations.
They note the boats were traveling along known narco-trafficking routes.
Two strikes killed eight men on two different vessels in the eastern Pacific.
Three men were killed in one strike on a boat in the Caribbean.
Since September 2nd, there have been more than 140 people killed in 42 strikes.
