Let me just I agree.
Like, I do think that like a lot of times we argue in the beginning of November and then by the end of the season, like Alabama loses to Oklahoma and a lot of it works itself out.
So I do think a lot of it is the amount of vitriol that the committee gets for like the first two weeks of rankings is like, OK, guys, like
They've got to put some teams somewhere.
Let's all take a deep breath.
But the Louisville thing is interesting, Mike, because I know like you probably don't want to talk about this, but Louisville has overtime losses to Virginia and Cal.
We know Virginia is at the top of the ACC conference and Cal is not.
Cal is, I think, a four loss team right now.
They have a freshman quarterback, but they're
still i guess feisty they're okay um they lost to san diego state earlier this year who's one of the better teams in the mountain west and they lost to duke and virginia who are obviously very good and they also lost to virginia tech who also fired their head coach so louisville's losses like one is totally i i think quote unquote good loss one is much worse loss but they have a head-to-head win over miami and they're still ranked behind miami so i guess like the circular logic here is like if you think that
louisville or if you think miami should be ahead of notre dame that would mean notre dame's probably like a 12 to 15th ranked team miami's probably a top 10 team but louisville has a top 10 win over miami then shouldn't louisville also by that logic be ahead of miami yeah well i would i would say that if all things are in a vacuum louisville should probably be ranked the highest there but the committee has shown us in previous years when it was a smaller tournament that they also take injuries into account isaac brown is a huge injury
Yeah, I mean, I think that's where it's like, okay, it will probably work itself out.
But we can have the argument before conference championship weekend if there is still a fine line between 10 and two teams in the same conference that haven't played each other, which is why giant conferences are stupid.
And we shouldn't have done that.
And at the very bare minimum should have kept the divisions because then we'd at least have more teams playing against each other like in similar opponents in the same pod.
