And, you know, for many, there's the like, not my keys, not my coin, like that's very important to them.
But for others, they just want exposure to like that, that space.
They don't necessarily care about holding their own keys or they don't trust themselves to hold their own keys.
They want exposure to like what they see as the future financial system and what finance is going to be built on top of.
So, like, that's kind of how I see those two worlds.
And it's been very interesting because in a lot of ways, like, that dichotomy of, like, CeFi, DeFi, like, it still exists, but people aren't talking about it in the same way.
And there's less, like, us versus them, which is, like, really never helpful when you're building markets and products.
It's more like, how do we take the best of both?
You know, I do actually.
I do.
I think a lot of like if we're jumping right in and looking like very long term, I think people will interact with financial markets differently.
And it won't be like it's sort of like the underlying mechanisms will be sort of abstracted away.
I think that's like one of the big unlocks that we need, for example, for like stable coins to really take off.
It's so that like if using stable coins needs people to have comfort with like their own self-custodied wallet, then that's like a huge obstacle because there's a lot of friction there.
However, if like stable coins are the plumbing that just let people very efficiently move money around or use it as payments and use it in capital markets or in all different types of ways, then then you're going to see it really take off.
It's sort of like, you know, when we use our phones, we don't like need to know exactly how it's working or what's under the hood.
We just know that it like helps us do something amazing.
So that's how I see the two kind of coming together.
And then when it comes to DeFi, what's really exciting and we're very focused on solving at Symbiotic is what DeFi unlocks
in a really powerful way is the ability to make capital and assets that are digitally native and that have a lot of their underlying logic and the rules and parameters for payments and for lockups and for obligations enshrined in code that surrounds those assets.
