So there's definitely a spectrum.
And the more we can work to bring the value chain of an asset or a structured product
on chain so that or at least so that it's like digital and an auditable, the more that asset can work in other markets.
Because if you have like an asset that like a private lending fund that's just tokenized, but like all of the mechanics and reporting and underwriting of the fund is just like a black box sitting in documents that get reported, perhaps like quarterly, perhaps annually.
It's going to be very hard to price that asset and therefore enable it to operate efficiently in markets.
Yeah, I think honestly, like I don't think they're solving the wrong thing.
I think they're that it's kind of starting with the lower hanging fruit of what we can actually accomplish to get the flywheel going.
Just like coming from the perspective of having worked at one of the biggest Canadian banks and
Like we actually tokenized the certificate of deposit with JP Morgan back in 2018, I think, or 2019.
And like the reason why the reason that was really, truly a proof of concept, like it was on Quorum, which is like a blockchain that JP Morgan builds.
I'm not even sure that it's it's still operating or maybe they've moved on to something else.
But I think the what you see, like the vast majority of tokenization in from like the Wall Street side is
like equities and money market funds.
And these are assets that already are like highly liquid compared to other types of assets and that have infrastructure to trade on markets and to be used as collateral or otherwise in a range of different ways in like the traditional, like current, like finance 2.0.
But I don't I don't think it's the wrong way to start.
I think it's like, you know, it's a progression.
And it makes sense because there's still a lot that you can unlock or at least upgrade with these with these types of instruments like public equities or money market funds.
And I think like you're seeing that, for example, with some of the more digitally native on chain vaults like vault strategies.
a vol strategy could hold a percentage of their portfolio in a money market fund.
That's like a Benji type of money market fund or like a Franklin Templeton or one of these other types of more institutional, auditable types of products.
