The reason that the theme here is no kings is that the Republican Party, all the way up to John Roberts and his fellow conservatives on the Supreme Court, have done everything possible to undo what we're supposed to be celebrating next year, the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

to quarter in your home without your permission, to physically take you and arrest you without due process, to essentially tax you without giving you representation.

You have a country that is being unraveled by the Republican Party so that they can serve Donald Trump and a small set of multi, multi billionaires.

We did not intend to return ourselves to serfdom.

And that is the fight that we're seeing.

I hate to be to start off on a controversial moment, but I don't believe it's that controversial.

We've been talking a lot about people's rights, their First Amendment right.

And then we have to remember our Fourth Amendment rights, which involves legal or illegal search and seizures.

And then our Fifth Amendment rights, which is due process.

And the Second Amendment as well, which is interesting because you have all these conservatives out here just really gunning for, no pun intended, for people to be able to just be taken off the streets without any due process, whether you're a citizen or not.

And to folks who are out there, to many Americans, this is not a sign of tyranny.

This is tyranny.

And a tyrannical government is mentioned in the Second Amendment.

So it's interesting to me that folks have been a little bit like, oh, wait, what is Don Lemon talking about?

I'm just talking about what's happening in the world right now.

Now, what am I saying here?

I'm saying that

We are up against a constitutional crisis where people are interpreting the Constitution in ways they want, like they interpret the Bible and scriptures in ways they want.

Our Constitution is very clear about the rights of the people.

Those amendments are for the rights of the people.
