Nico's a really good hitter, for sure.
We know that.
And I think Michael Bush will probably still bat leadoff a bunch against right individuals.
It might have more to do with the fact that Ian Hap didn't play the last couple nights, and so when Counts was putting his lineup together, he probably had other considerations.
I don't think we're at the point in the season where
Because Bush has gotten off to a little bit of a slow start.
We're two weeks in.
I don't think you have any real drastic changes in your approach.
So if you think Michael Bush was going to be a good leadoff man against right-handed pitching, I would still...
you know, that would, if I was counsel, that would still be my plan.
I'd lead Nico off against lefties and, you know, and, and, you know, it just, for me, it doesn't really matter all that much.
You just want your, your best hitters near the top of your lineup because they're going to get more at bat.
So, um, you know, I think people get excited about Nico because, uh, in our mind, we think about leadoff hitters of the past and they're fast guys and, you know, it's kind of fits that profile.
And the other good thing about him, he's walking more this year.
Again, will that probably regress?
I'm guessing it will to a degree.
But, yeah, either way, I think it plays.
