He did what rarely happens for CIA ops officers.

He trained the junior officer on how to handle the meeting.

I was so grateful.

Years later, and I love the guy, years later, he disagrees with me, by the way, on just about everything of substance, but he's a great officer.

And...

He pulls me aside.

I had gotten a job where I was interacting with oversight on a very regular basis.

My job was to ensure that the things that were coming from the CIA that were going over to oversight were truthful, honest.

We were producing things that was valuable for them to actually do their job.

So I'd never really done that kind of work.
