So all these managers who have continued to be moved up, they've never had to make a hard moral decision.

COVID hits, and you got people saying, hey, I've got religious rights.

Hey, I've got bodily rights.

Hey, this is executive overreach, right?

And no one knew how to handle that.

And it proved beyond a shadow of a doubt, the management, they're not leaders.

The managers in the CIA are not trained to handle conscientious dissent and real moral decisions.

For me, that was it.

They failed a test of their humanity.

And...

It's not.

You know, there are reasons why they want to hide budget.

Oh, I understand.

Like, I really believe in sources and methods.

We don't want to see sources dead.

We don't want to see sensitive methods destroyed.

But, you know...

If the naming conventions for the various offices at the CIA are made so indistinct that outsiders can't understand what they do in that office...

Well, that's meant to protect the type of operations where there's sources and methods.
