Like second base, like Antonacci could move there.

And then all of a sudden you have...

Third, and then Miguel Vargas, he's been a revelation this year and could be a fixture depending on how they handle his situation.

He's still got years of control left.

So that's why I think Gonzalez is hard to see a spot for him in the infield.

But credit to him, another guy who was able to dust himself off and him being a college pick, that was a case where it was easier to throw in the towel on him and say, well, you know, he's supposed to be

Developed out of Ole Miss and showed up not looking ready at all and was really not an impact player until this year.

So I guess that'd be another case for Chlowski saying like, don't get too hung up on the age of a college pick because they can still reinvent themselves.

But yeah, he would be the guy, just it's hard to see a spot for him as the White Sox are presently constructed.

I think Montgomery, they just need outfielders.

So Braden Montgomery looks like he's going to hang around as long as the White Sox, as long as he makes himself useful to the White Sox, and he should be that for years to come.

And then Antonacci, I think, is...

A big part of what the White Sox are building in terms of identity, in terms of efforts on base, kind of relentlessness, and his ability to play left field decently, I think has given the White Sox a lot of flexibility in terms of how they want to deploy him after the season.

Yeah, he had that big offer in the middle of it that kind of sunk his season numbers overall.

But you look at what he did when he got out of the slump for like the last two, three weeks, and he's been great, especially for a rookie, filling in huge shoes.

Yeah, the White Sox have seemed to like replacing lefties with lefties and righties with righties.

So, you know, Murakami takes care of that from the left side.

And then also like Luis Angel Acuna, you know,

Warts and all, I guess the strength of him is that he doesn't have to play, or the White Sox are comfortable with him coming off the bench and running or having one or two starts a week and not worrying about his development stagnating, whereas Gonzalez, if he's buried behind Murakami at first and all the infielders that we just talked about, and he barely plays, that probably doesn't do him a whole lot of good where he is in his career.

Yeah, just because we've seen the White Sox with Gonzalez, and this is one thing with Gonzalez, is just they shield them against left-handed pitching.
