Well, I would say, yes, it's a long war.
It happens to have been going on for decades now.
It has a lot ahead of it still.
So yes to all, but yes, TV, why?
Because TV and your medium, radio, unlike my medium, whatever we call the New York Times these days, is regulated.
by the federal government under the FCC.
The FCC has some power to punish broadcasters, to hold them to certain old-fashioned standards known as the public interest standards, to be balanced and fair.
Brendan Carr was using the old standards that his party has really not wanted anything to do with for our entire lives to now say, we're going to punish these broadcasters who don't follow these old rules that everyone forgot about.
It's questionable whether he's properly reviving anything that exists quite the way he says it does.
But the public interest standard dates back.
