You know, he might have made a mistake on that curfew thing, but I don't think that's just it.

I think that's the straw that broke the camel's back, to be honest.

I think there's been other stuff where he's just not felt that support from higher up.

And...

it's ended up with this being the final straw and with him being tied and everything, I think that it's just come to a head and I can definitely see him playing again for some reason.

I've just got a feeling that I could see the Ashes next year, maybe playing a part in that.

But I think it doesn't feel right the way it ended.

It feels strange the way no one's ever retired mid-session, mid-test match.

It's a strange thing.

I feel like we should be really celebrating his career because it is phenomenal and it's going to get kind of glossed over with a lot of the other stuff that was going on around that.

I'm not sure he needs to monetize anything.

And I just feel like there is a better end for Ben Stokes.

If someone wrote the book, there'd be a better ending than that.

But I might be wrong.

That might be the way it should have ended.

And I might be being kind of like wanting the fairytale thing, the fairytale ending, and life's not like that, but... He is, like his career has been punctuated with chaos, good and bad, and we've talked about that.

Can I just say, we've gone from not being able to hear Matt to hearing every breath coming out of his nostrils.
